The Electronic Commerce regulations of 2002 apply
to our business.
The Key Features of this legislation are :
Our
online business is conducted under U.K. Law.
There are limitations on our liability for unlawful
information we unwittingly carry or store.
Delivery Charges.
We post our orders using Royal Mail or Parcelforce
and charge our customers according to the price
shown on http://www.royalmail.com.
We think that it is unethical to profit from post
and packing charges so we seek to reclaim no more
than the amount by which we are out of pocket.
Additional
costs.
There are no additional costs incurred in purchasing
from us. The price you pay for an item is the
price advertised on our website plus post and
packing.
Language.
We conduct our business using the English language.
Privacy.
We do not store your private or credit card information
in any sort of retrieval system nor do we pass
any personal information to other traders.
We
also operate under the Consumer Protection (Distance
Selling) regulations of 2000 and the Electronic
Commerce regulations.
The
goods we sell are the necessities for making Tatted
Lace.
Payment
for goods.
We accept cash, cheques and credit card payments.
Delivery.
We post out our orders normally within 24 hours
of receipt. At holiday times there may be short
delays but you will receive notification of any
delay. Once a parcel has been passed to Royal
Mail we have effectively lost control of it and
cannot therefore guarantee a delivery date but
experience shows that Royal Mail usually achieve
its aim of delivery within the following time
limits following the date of posting :
Western Europe 3 days
Eastern Europe 4 days
Rest of the World 5 days
Customer's
Right to Cancel.
Our customers have the right to cancel an order
and return any goods received to us if those goods
are faulty or in any way defective. We will pay
the costs of returning the goods but if a customer
has merely had a change of mind and we are not
at fault the return of goods will be at that customer's
expense. He/She will receive back any monies paid,
including delivery costs within 30 days, provided
notice of intention to return the goods is given
in writing – email is acceptable –
within seven working days commencing on the day
following delivery. We also ask that reasons for
the return are given. We will give instructions
for the return of the goods and a customer must
take reasonable care of them whilst they are in
his/her possession.
If any goods are to be returned we would always
recommend the obtaining of insurance cover for
them whilst in transit and the obtaining of proof
of posting
